Congratulations! The 350 Home & Garden Challenge was your campaign and together we can now tell a deeper and richer collective story about the importance of our movement . All the actions that were taken on May 14 & 15, big and small, are a reflection of the work that is under way in communities like yours. On May 14 -- the "350 Garden Challenge" weekend -- we made great strides in our community garden installation.
The garden site in my local neighborhood in Los Angeles is nearly an acre in size. The plan combines a traditional plot-style community garden with a school garden and aspects of a community park.

In 2010 a handful of community leaders in Sonoma County, CA demonstrated their collective genius. Inspired by the Grow Food Party Crew 100 Garden Challenge, the Gardens of Gratitude 100 Garden Challenge and the action-based programs of 350.org, the Sonoma County team garnered the support and cooperation of cities, local businesses, and governmental agencies as well as arranged for workshops, volunteer-led community projects, material donations, and numerous discounts. In the end they far exceeded their goal with 628 registered actions! In 2010, the Sonoma County efforts inspired several organizations including Transition Ann Arbor and the Victory Garden Foundation to launch similar initiatives. Thank you all for your inspiration and help in Transition US taking this challenge national in 2011. Only together can we bring about the awareness and change we want to see in the world.
