You are invited to participate in the two-day Training for Transition course – the training workshop from the global Transition Towns movement. The Binghamton Regional Sustainability Coalition (BRSC) invites those interested in creating a more resilient community and enhancing the quality of life in our region to join us in learning about the Transition Towns model from three of the trainers in the U.S.  Through envisioning, planning and action, we will come together to build regional resilience and address the triple challenges of peak oil, climate change and economic instability.

BRSC’s goal is to start a Transition Initiative (TI) in our community.  At the training we will learn how to facilitate a large-scale conversation & practical projects to enhance local food systems, renewable energy & efficiency, sustainable transportation & land use, & more.  We will explore ways of involving more people & supporting broader community engagement.  Join us to learn about a citizen initiative that can help us increase passion & commitment to remake our beautiful valley into a more sustainable & prosperous place to live!
