Post Carbon Institute Update

Transition US Partner | visit www.postcarbon.org for more articles, reports and news End of Growth Update

In The End of Growth, published in September 2011, Post Carbon Senior Fellow Richard Heinberg, made the observation that world economic expansion, which has been barreling along for the past few decades, is now stalling. So, how are we doing just nine months later? Is the global economy mending or teetering on the brink? Is the book’s hypothesis confirmed or disproved? June saw the publication of an updated ebook version of the book with more than twenty additional pages written by Richard that take a look at what is happening right now in Europe, China, the United States and elsewhere. Buy a copy of the End of Growth Updated eBook. Already have the book? We'll shortly be publishing the update as a standalone release.

Is the environmental movement ready for the 'end of growth' message?  PCI was invited to help survey 100 participants at the San Francisco Green Festival on this very question. To find our more about the results read Green, Not Growing by Development Director Ken White.

Let's mobilize of thousands of new residents, create innumerable sustainability actions provide the community networks and cross-sector collaborations needed to Transition our towns and cities across the US.

Roll up your sleeves and get involved :)
