Sandpoint Transition Initiative in Colorado was the second official transition initiative in the U.S. to join the international Transition Network. Since then, the number of transition initiatives in the US has grown to 53 and 265 worldwide.
On November 14th, 2008, Sandpoint Transition Initiative held their Great Unleashing. Michael Brownlee of Transition Boulder County delivered the keynote address to the full house at the Panida Theatre in downtown Sandpoint.

Sandpoint Transition Initiative has been a great resource for other initiatives across the country and has garnered the attention of mainstream media having been featured in the New York Times Magazine in April, 2009.

Now, one year later, Sandpoint Transition Initiative is celebrating their first anniversary and we wish them all the best in the coming year.
