Transition Venice: Growing Together Community Garden

Three years ago, twelve 6'x20' and three 20'x20' raised garden beds were built on the property of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Venice, Florida. They were utilized by members of the church for a couple of growing seasons but people began gardening at home or became interested in other projects. The beds were left empty and eventually filled with weeds.

Highlights from the NorCal Regional Meeting

On Saturday, May 18th, thirty Transition Leaders from the Northern California region gathered in beautiful Sonoma Valley to connect, share highlights of exciting local Transition work, and lay the groundwork for future northern California regional Transition activity, including a proposed NorCal Regional Network and fall conference.

Transition Sarasota Joins Hands across Siesta Key Beach

On Saturday May 18, Transition Sarasota organized a Hands Across the Sand event, which was part of a national day of action where community members joined hands to form a line that symbolized their support for the protection of coastal economies, oceans, marine wildlife and fisheries.
