Springhouse Education Design Lab

Sourced Design supports those seeking to radically redesign education from its core. The Education Design Lab is a place where participants can experiment together and support one another, while also building a body of research in vitality-centered educational design through their case studies.

The Lab happens every trimester at Springhouse (fall, winter, and summer) and consists of three 2-hour workshops (described below). Immersive learning experiences at Springhouse, peer mentoring, time for dialogue with Springhouse staff and learners, and an online Sourced Design resource allow for the participant’s continued learning in between Labs.  Participants must sign up for the whole series as they are progressive in nature. Though workshops will be recorded, it is strongly encouraged to attend in person virtually. 

Education design work is not for the faint of heart.

The Education Design Lab supports participants by offering principles to guide them, and a design community to learn from, and create with. Participants engage in a co-creative design process that not only supports them, but furthers the development of the design itself.  Springhouse also offers continued support after the Lab through design partnership opportunities for communities who wish to continue walking on this path of vitality-centered education in deeper ways.
