Transition Town – All St. Anthony Park Water Companion Workshop
May 15, 2021 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am PDT
Free
Join Transition Town – All St. Anthony Park on May 15, 10:30 AM – 12 PM Central for this free, family-friendly virtual workshop on watersheds and personal action to protect our local waters, especially focused on the St. Anthony Park neighborhood.
We’ll take a short virtual tour of the neighborhood’s water features, past and present. Our guides are Maya and Michala, with insights from Karlyn Eckman, artist and U of M scientist. Then, together and in breakout groups, we’ll discuss the roles we might take to protect our nearby waters. Whatever your skills, our watersheds can benefit from them.
Mid-May also marks the publication of “Watershed: Attending to Body and Earth in Distress” by workshop leader Ranae Hanson. Part memoir, part call to action, the book shows how human health reflects our ecosystems. Learn more atĀ RanaeHanson.com/Watershed.
The workshop is cosponsored by Winding Trail Books (order fromĀ WindingTrailBooks.com) and Transition Town – All St. Anthony Park.
Please fill out this form and we will send you a Zoom link as the event approaches. Thank you!
